Spring Forward

Getting myself back on course seems to require the same routine. I thought I could sleep in one day and adjust accordingly, but I simply could not. I lost the rhythm. I am here early enough to stay on the writing path. I started with the vision boards to remind myself of the plan: fashion farm sewing with old-world fine needlework, writing, and filmmaking.

Don’t let your mind make a mess of your plans. You’ve got it figured out if you trust the process. Take each step with one task at a time. There’s no need to overwhelm yourself. I have less than two weeks before the exhibition, and my goal is to have one completed dress to wear. I tend to take on too much and then stop.

Often, when movements are slow, we cannot see progress. But I must remind myself of the plants that are waking from their winter sleep and how quickly they will blossom. In a moment's notice, the weather will change, and the warmth of excitement and a new wave will break through the gray. I hope you step steadily and hold fast to your dreams today.
