Sewing Solutions
They say the creativity muscle is one that must be leveraged regularly over time. Yesterday evening, I walked past my Gilded Haze dress, knowing that it needs to be sewn. I am struggling with wellness routines while also making time to sew. It was a beautiful, warm day, so I opted for a long walk in the forest, and after dinner, I wrapped up the day with a meditation.
Both activities matter, but I’m working on being more disciplined about going to bed earlier. I’ve lived the burnout culture for most of my life, and I am now experimenting with a more harmonious balance between dreams and life. This past weekend, I had my nephews and sister over on the farm for family fun and play.
As I normalize the category clusters—writing, family and friends, fine sewing, and film—I am gradually building the life I love to live. Walking in the forest and meditating seem easy enough to schedule and do, but I will set a goal of doing yoga once a week on Sundays. Are you making progress? What do you need to adjust to keep yourself on course?

Life passes so quickly, I am glad I found time to enjoy my youth despite working a great deal and going to school full-time.
